Dionna L. Hayden was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Her artistic ability and love for children's books were developed at a very young age. By age 6, she knew she wanted to be an illustrator, and went on to study visual and graphic arts.

Today, Dionna is the owner of Pink Elephant Graphic Design, founder of Lucky Boots, and creator of The Cookie-Flower Rock Kids series. Her hope through creating books is to bring an element of color and fun to the life learning experience for children while bringing families closer together.
